Objectives of Seminar

Against the backdrop of the government of India's policy of opening up power generation to the indigenous and foreign private sectors and of setting an ambitious target of installing additional capacity of over 50,000 MW in the next five years, this seminar intends to highlight issues such as Power Generation by Conventional and Non-conventional methods, Environmental Aspects, Energy Economics, Role of Regulatory Authorities, etc. The seminar will be of two days' duration, having a total of six sessions as indicated below. Besides papers from prominent contributors from India and abroad there will also be an exhibition on energy efficient equipment and newly developed energy efficient processes.
