Time Schedule & Venue


The National Seminar to be held between 10 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. at Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management , Management House, College Square(West), Kolkata-700073, India.

The topics of the Technical Sessions on each day are as follows:

Day-1:

Inauguration(10 A.M.-11A.M.).
For the three Technical Sessions, the topics are:

  • Energy and Environment.
  • Generation by Conventional Methods.
  • Generation by Non-Conventional Methods.
  • Energy Utilization and Economics-Govt. role;Case studies.

Day-2:

For the three Technical Sessions the topics are:

  • Role of Electricity Regulatory Authority; Recent experience of SEBs ( Haryana, Maharashtra, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan) with case studies.
  • Utilization and Economics-Private sector units like CESC, Siemens, Greaves Crompton, Jayashree Textiles, TISCO , ESCOs etc.
    • Panel discussion(recommended actions) and Valedictory Address.

Note:

Emphasis would be given on recommendations made by the participants during the seminar and the Panel Discussion will be devoted to analyzing such recommendations.
